Conan, that funny guy, was a bit confused by Palin's farewell speech. He wasn't alone.
However, another funny guy, William Shatner, helps us out. Just read the speech, slowly, to the sound of bongos and it will all make sense.
Here's the transcript of the whole blowhard speech just in case you fell asleep.

Shatner's deadpan interpretation is incredible!
That's great! That actually makes at least that part of the speech sound cool. Maybe it's her delivery that's the problem??

I think Palin heard the term "stream of consciousness" in one of the classes she took at one of her four colleges.
As seems to be typical of her, though, she didn't get a full understanding of it.
She didn't learn that it's a literary tool and that it works when used in books like The Sound and the Fury. It doesn't work in speeches.

Ya Know.....the woman makes good sense to me. Having been a life long Democrat in recent weeks I have been contemplating....WHY? I think the majority of the Party is on DRUGS ...except for the Southern "Blue Dogs"...Thank GOD for them. Sarah Palin demonstrates more sense than Pelosi and all of the Liberal Democrats and Obama combined. I am disgusted at the horrific tactics of so man hate filled Democrats who have repeatedly attacked this woman and her family and have stooped to the lowest levels to destroy her. I am disgusted with my Party....the Democratic Party. I am changing my voter registration to Independent and will be voting against any all all Democrats in 2010. OH....my family will do the same and all of my friends are also repulsed and disgusted. The ONLY integrity that remains in the Democratic party is with the "Blue Dogs" ...Southern Democrats. Thank GOD for their sanity !
