Some dogs will do anything for a buck bone.  This dog, who apparently wanted to remain anonymous, takes up his post on a daily basis.  His job?  Charging a fee for use of the last public phone  in the western United States.  The fee?  A burger, or at minimum, two chicken wings from the grocery behind the phone.   Not one person asked why he was charging them to use the phone in addition to the 50 cents required by Pa Bell.  They just assumed he owned a share of the telecom.

public phone?  that's what you think.

This enterprising dog  is working on her step-and-fetch-it skills to better her  security-patrol position as top dog barker in the apartment complex.  She's hired a fitness trainer to build up her chest muscles so that it resembles her idol, Jayne Mansfield.   She prefers that her rear be modeled after JLo, while claiming to not be a fan.  Do not let her know that she has an impossible long way to go to achieve either.  With only fifteen pounds to work with, there isn't a lot of hope since Mansfield's chest, alone, was alleged to weigh that much.  Top Dog Barker takes a moment from the step-and-fetch-it practice field to pose for this publicity shot showing off her dazzling smile, and um, ample chest.

I'm dog-sitting my brother's 3 dogs, Sydney, Teddy and Espresso... the canine three stooges. I love 'em. Now you got me remembering Jayne.
rAted! cool pictures!
Your rack is stunning, yes! And I would very much enjoy buying a burger for phone dog. Cute post.
Maybe you could just pop some tennis balls into the bodice and call it good? Think she'd be ok with that?
"She prefers that her rear be modeled after JLo, while claiming to not be a fan." What a disclaimer. Fun post -- and, yes, the rack is stunning.
Dogs!! My cats catch their own food.
L&P – This is why we love’em so!
Not only are they our best friends; they keep us entertained with their amazing tricks & talents.
Love your blog!! Great fun!!
What a rack she's got! And a great smile! Personality or Dogality just radiates from her. =o)

Forget the phone call, I'd just spend all my time scratching the ears of Phone Dog.
LOL! Lovin' the pups! Once you love one, you can't help but find love for all - at least, that's what I've found!

MM- 3 dogs? oh boy. 3 stooges sounds about right. remember Jayne's playtex bra commercial? It was her, right?

Julie - thank you very much!

annette - The canine blushes at the compliment. You can find said phone dog near the beach.

bluesurly - hahaha. actually I do have the right size tennis balls. Hummmm..... It would work as long as I gave her one to chase at the same time.

Hells Bells - thank you!

Steve - she is a YoYo Ma fan (seriously). She does not like JLo, but does approve of the derriere and thinks all canines should like that good. She blushes at the rack compliment.

Stella - That would make a good youtube vid! L&P can catch too, espc. food.

George - up next is cooking school. but not before I can get them to stop eating all the ingredients before they do the recipe. Little pigs. Seriously, thanks.

Kakitanj - thank you and nice to meet you (I like your avatar).

Shiral - I think phone dog charges for scratches too. He is such a business-dog. She's been working on the grin for a while now. Thanks!

O'Steph - thank you! at least this post has ads....
Thats awesome! Love dogs with character.
A stunning rack indeed!

Speaking of racks, Coco needs to start paying her way around here. No more free meals for the Terrorist. I'm thinking about putting her to work the street corner...her double Ds are au naturale!
Crazy Turkeys!......
A couple of dog pictures and stories and I'm set. Thanks!
panicsigns - thank you. they certainly are characters!

plumm, ms. fruity - so wonderful to see you. and yes, that girl needs to work for a living! perhaps the cover of a certain magazine?????

Gary - yep, turkeys for sure.

Suzn - glad to oblige. anytime!
Karin - nope. didn't assume you were going to eat her! And seriously, her mouth can be bigger than her head sometimes. Lulu fits in there with room to spare. And yes, a whole watermelon could go down the hatch! hehehehe.
